Abstract

The Condamine-Maranoa basin, an area of diverse soil and vegetation types, has been divided into ten agro-ecological groups for which the relevant agricultural systems are described. Limitations to agricultural production are used as a basis for recommendations on research needs. Priorities for research are the Eucalyptus woodlands which occur on red earth and solodic soils in the western zone.
