AbstractFive sows inoculated intramuscularly with L. hyos showed agglutinins and excreted Leptospira in the urine. No clinical abnormality attributable to infection with L. hyos was observed. Of 58 piglets produced by the five infected sows, 5 were mummified and 6 were born dead. No Leptospira were isolated from the dead piglets.
