Stored product pests on northern Queensland

Abstract

A survey of stored product pests in northern Queensland was made in 1942 and 1943 and supplementary information was gathered at intervals up to the end of 1945. Most attention was devoted to foodstuffs for human consumption. Thirty-four pest or potential pest species were recorded. The relative importance of all species at the time of the survey is indicated, but it is pointed out that under normal peacetime trading conditions this relationship may change to some extent.
