Abstract

Agserv Aqua Kleen (2, 4-D butoxyethanol ester 20% on 8-13 mesh Attaclay granules), applied at 43.56 lb a.e./ac to a pond, gave good control of Azolla filiculoides var. rubra, Ceratophyllum demer-sum, Hydrilla verticillata, Hydrocharis morsus-ranae, Nymphaea mexicana, Pistia stratiotes and Potamogeton crispus. Cotton and tomato seedling bio-assays showed that 2, 4-D persisted in the water for at least 22 days; no trace of 2, 4-D could be detected after 29 days. F.s.-P.K.
