I have the honour to submit for your consideration my Annual Report upon the working of this Department, and in so doing it is very gratifying to be able to report advance and development all along the lines of departmental work. The growth which necessitated the removal of the offices from George street to the present quarters 111 William street is in itself an indication of the increased scope of the Department, and the enlarged accommodation has enabled inc to form the nucleus of a museum of economic botany, which will doubtless prove interesting and instructive to those who have a knowledge and liking for such matters.
