Abstract

The aim of this project was to identify and evaluate irrigation scheduling tools and techniques appropriate for use within container production nurseries and quantify water savings that can be achieved by utilising these. This would then be used to retrofit production nurseries to achieve and accurately measure the resultant water use efficiencies. An Economic Model would then be developed for use by Industry in discussions with growers to upgrade their
irrigation systems to both save water and increase production.
All key objectives have been achieved and the data will be considerable benefit to all industries looking to improve their irrigation systems
