Abstract

During the late winter and early spring of 1953, the blue oat mite heavily infested wheat fields in the Bongeen district, Darling Downs. This opportunity was taken to set out 8 x 3 randomised block trials, eight weeks after germination, using BHC, DDT and dieldrin. A plot of 1/100th acre was used.
