Flock management to control fluorosis of merino sheep in Queensland

Harvey, J.M. (1953) Flock management to control fluorosis of merino sheep in Queensland. Queensland Journal of Agricultural Science, 10 (3). pp. 127-159.

An investigation was made to determine how fluorosis in merino sheep could be alleviated by variations in the time of exposure to and protection from fluorided water. As a result of this study, together with findings recorded previously by the author, a system of flock management is recommended. The system is based on the presence or provision of alternative fluorine-free water, but enables the maximum use of fluorided water with the minimum of damage to sheep.
