Abstract

During the course of investigations into the virus causing "yellow crinkle" disease of the papaw (Garica papaya L.), interesting examples of phyllody have been observed. Though this condition was mentioned by Simmonds (1938), no detailed observations were given. It is considered that a description of the very marked development of phyllody in plants infected with the virus would be of interest to other workers.
