Abstract

When measuring the relative water content of leaves of the cvs Delicious, Granny Smith and Jonathan it was found that 16-mm leaf discs with a flotation time of 4 h gave the best results. These data serve to show the magnitude of plant water stress which apple trees have to contend with in an almost normal growing season in Queensland.
