Abstract

The effect of tree density on total tree basal area and yields of tree foliage, tree litter and herbage were investigated at 2 sites in the S.W. Queensland mulga zone. Reduction in tree density increased herbage yield, but decreased tree foliage and litter yields, and total tree basal area. Relations are shown between herbage yield and total tree basal area. Some community management factors are discussed.
