The program has

Identified and released two new varieties with 20% gains in grain yield worth an extra $5.2 million each year.
Identified genetic resistance to powdery mildew, tan spot and new sources of yield and grain quality from the germplasm collection and incorporated these into agronomically adapted backgrounds.
