Abstract

Three major soil series - designated the Woongarra, the Gooburrum and the Burnett series - and an unusual minor type (Kepnock yellow soil) have been recognized following a survey of the Bundaberg district cane-growing areas. The chemical and physical properties of the various series and their component types are described.
