Abstract

An experiment which involved the application of varying levels of super-phosphate to a pine stand is described and discussed. The amount of fertilizer producing the optimum response was not the greatest amount applied. As a measure of soil phosphate content, the total phosphate value of a composite sample obtained from the top 4 inches of soil was used.
