Abstract

In tests of 7 insecticides in sprays against larvae of Mythimna convecta (Wlk.) (Pseudaletia convecta) on barley in southern Queensland during an outbreak in September-October 1978 (when about 108 000 ha of winter cereals were treated with insecticides), chlorpyrifos at 350, permethrin at 45, sulprofos at 360, acephate at 300, trichlorphon at 550, methomyl at 225 and fenvalerate at 45 g/ha were shown to be efficacious.
