AbstractIn 5 trials in Queensland in 1977, 16 insecticides were tested in sprays at 38 rates against Therioaphis trifolii (Monell) and Acyrthosiphon kondoi Shinji on lucerne. The minimum effective dosages (in g/ha) were 500 for acephate, 300 for BASF 6601 [of unstated composition], 250 for chlorpyrifos, 50 for demeton-S-methyl, 60 for dimethoate, 250 for endosulfan, 150 for formothion, 250 for methamidophos, 400 for methidathion, 250 for methomyl, 100 for monocrotophos, 200 for parathion, 50 for pirimicarb and 49 for thiometon. BASF 2001 [of unstated composition] at 120 g/ha provided moderate control while bioresmethrin at 100 g/ha was ineffective.
