Abstract

A key to larvae of noctuids that attack grain crops, grasses and pastures in Queensland is provided. They include 2 species of Heliothis, 2 of Mythimna (Pseudaletia), 4 of Spodoptera and 4 of Agrotis. The key was devised to facilitate the identification of some common economic
larvae which attack cereals, grasses and pastures in Queensland. It can be used with accuracy only with the ultimate and penultimate instars.
