Abstract

The results are given of tests carried out in Queensland during 1962-65 on the toxicity to tobacco seedlings of insecticides likely to be of value in the control of pests. The following is virtually the author's summary. Azinphos-ethyl caused puckering of the leaf lamina and vascular thickening and distortion in tobacco seedlings. Those treated with fenitrothion and trichlorphon were stunted and had dark green circular leaves. Isobenzan caused intervascular and marginal distortion of the leaves. Applications of endrin had no phytotoxic effects.
