Abstract

The article first considers the challenges faced by Australian farmers, and which researchers are trying to address. It goes on to provide a general discussion on how researchers and advisers can help by means of collaborative work with farmers involving designing decision support systems, tools for assessing soil water or nitrogen status, simulation models and by engaging in small discussion groups.
