AbstractDuring 1958-68 on the Darling Downs, Queensland, wheat monoculture was compared with rotation involving 4 years of pasture followed by wheat. The pasture was a mixture of Bromus unioloides and Medicago sativa sown at rates of 17 and 15 kg/ha.
