Abstract

Seven species of Colletotrichum known to cause ripe fruit rots in Queensland are compared with respect to spore measurements, cultural characters, temperature reactions, and host range determined by field collection and artificial inoculation. The characteristic features of these organisms are discussed and on the evidence available it is found desirable to designate a new form of C. gloeosporioides and one new species.
