Abstract

Three hundred and forty-nine first ejaculates of semen collected from 56 bulls, using an artificial vagina, were cultured to determine the relative incidence of bacteria present. Micrococci, Proteus spp., coliforms, haemophilic Gram-negative bacilli, Bacillus spp. and Corynebacterium spp. were the bacteria most frequently isolated.
