Abstract

A catenary sequence of soils derived from Forsayth Granite in the Georgetown area of north Queensland was identified. Four groups of soils are described: lithosol-earthy sand intergrades; earthy sands; podzolic, soloth and solodic soil intergrades; and solodic and solodized solonetz soils.
