AbstractSplit application of 200 lb/acre N annually as urea, to pasture composed initially of 20% prairie grass and 75 % ladino clover that tended to disappear as a result of inadequate irrigation in the summer, increased dry-matter yields of the grass and resulted in a sward composed of 75% grass and equal proportions of clover and weeds at the end of the 3-year trial.
