Abstract

The following chromosome numbers have been determined: 2n = 12 for P. penduliflora, P. coreacea, P. biflora, P. perfoliata, P. gracilis and P. warmingii; 2n= 18 for P. cincinnata, P. umbüicata and P. coccínea; and 2n = 20 for P. foetida var. hispida.
